On the 21st of March 2024, the Law Faculty of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University held the first-round table within the framework of the Erasmus + program (KA220-HED - Cooperation partnerships in higher education) entitled "European Inclusion for Ukrainian Students" (project number is: 2023-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000157553).
Within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation and at the invitation of Oksana Kiriyak, PhD in Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Private Law, the event was attended by 4th year students of the NAU Law Faculty Yuliia Riabokon, Olena Kovrygina, Anastasiia Kutynska, who studied at the European Institute of Saarland University (Germany) in the academic year 2022-2023 under the Erasmus+ program.
The event was moderated by Professor Nina Hetmantseva, Head of the Department of Private Law at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
"This project is aimed at understanding the concept of European education, taking into account the students' personal experience of administrative procedures, mentality and general educational approaches, and its overall goal is to explore the common educational challenges faced by young people seeking asylum in European countries after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation," said Ms. Hetmantseva in her speech.
Within two hours, Ukrainian students with experience of studying at universities in Spain, the Baltic States, Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany exchanged their experience and peculiarities of the educational process in higher education institutions in different European countries. The students of the Faculty of Law, Yuliia Riabokon, Olena Kovrygina and Anastasiia Kutynska, told the participants about their challenges faced while living in another country and outlined the peculiarities of studying at Saarland University.
