On March 6, 2024, at the invitation of the directorate of the Ivan Franko Specialized School of I-III degrees with in-depth study of the English language No. 92, the head of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure of the Faculty of Law, Sofya Lykhova, together with students of higher education Valeria Yerokhova and Ihor Figorniuk (group PR-201B), took part in the celebration of the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
Schoolchildren prepared for the guests a festive concert, "Ukraine is Shevchenko, Shevchenko is Ukraine", among the participants of which were the winners of the All-Ukrainian creative competition "Word about Ukraine", which took place on February 27, 2024, in the walls of the Faculty of Law of NAU.
On behalf of the Chairman of the NAU Reorganization Commission, acting rector Volodymyr Shulga and school director Ruzanna Solomasa were given thanks for their fruitful work in educating students in the spirit of patriotism and love for their Motherland, and 11-A grade students Maria Bychkov and Igor Skrypko received diplomas for taking first and second place.
After the festive event, the students of the Faculty of Law gave a lecture-presentation on the topic "Criminal responsibility for war crimes" for students of the 11-A class, during which they analyzed such criminal crimes of an international nature, in particular: "Propaganda of war", " Justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants", "Violation of the laws and customs of war", "Use of weapons of mass destruction" and others. While reporting, the students disclosed the increased degree of public danger of these crimes and the punishments provided for their commission.
The meeting ended with questions and answers related to the structure of the Faculty of Law, the academic disciplines provided for in the educational programs, and the perspectives that are open to the graduates of the aviation institution of higher education.
