On January 30, 2024, as part of the provision of teaching of the academic discipline "Administrative Law of Ukraine" for students of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the Faculty of Law, a meeting was organized with candidate of legal sciences, lawyer Olena Zvonenko.
During the lecture on the topic "Advocate in cases of administrative offenses", a practicing lawyer spoke about the peculiarities of protection in cases of administrative offences, in particular by challenging decisions on administrative liability; representation of clients' interests in cases pending in court; lawyer's assistance in preparing appeals against illegal court rulings on bringing to administrative responsibility; the practice of applying to the European Court of Human Rights in the case of illegal decisions by the appellate court.
The human rights defender paid special attention to the consideration of issues related to protection in cases under Articles 124, 130 and 17220 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, citing specific examples from her legal practice and at the same time analyzing Clause 2.5 of the Road Traffic Rules of Ukraine, the Instruction on the procedure for detecting in drivers of vehicles, there are signs of alcohol, drug or other intoxication or being under the influence of drugs that reduce attention and reaction speed, as well as the specifics of using medical devices for in vitro diagnostics "Boson Biotech rapid tests for in vitro diagnostics".
At the end of the event, Olena Zvonenko shared with the students her own experience of forming the personality of a lawyer, gave advice on building a professional career, and wished success and inspiration in their studies.
