On June 17, 2022, a master class was held at the Faculty of Law by a professor of Lviv National University. I. Franko by Oksana Golovko-Gavrisheva on the topic "EU policy in the field of human rights: origins and modernity".
Ms. Oksana gave a historical digression to the formation and consolidation of respect for human rights in the law of the European Union and spoke about the contribution of Ukrainian scholars in this process. Students focus on the doctrinal foundations and principles of the value system, the priorities of which are: pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity, equality between women and men.
Citing examples of fundamental human rights cases that have been fundamental to the Court of Justice's decision-making, higher education students have been able to explore in more depth the complex and complex nature of the universal human rights system that Oksana has acquired over the past decades.
At the end of the meeting, the professor gave recommendations, guidelines and advice to students on the necessary qualities, competencies and professional skills that they should work on now, in order to increase their competitiveness in the competition to select specialists to work in international European institutions. compatriots.
