The formation of psychological readiness of graduates of general secondary education institutions to make a conscious choice of profession, educational institution has become today not only an urgent need, but also a multifaceted and complex process. The possibility of self-realization, psychological comfort, status in society, job satisfaction, material well-being of the future generation largely depends on it. That is why the Faculty of Law of NAU constantly carries out career guidance work among young people for the purpose of their professional orientation.
An important aspect of career guidance is the conduct of career guidance activities for high school students. Thus, during September-October 2021, scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty conducted webinars, interactive talks, online lessons, legal literacy, debates in secondary schools of Kyiv, Volyn and Kyiv regions: Aerospace Lyceum named after I. In addition, first-year mentors conducted a survey on the effectiveness of career guidance work, which was attended by 103 students. To the question: "Did the career guidance work conducted by the teachers of NAU Law Firm?", 47 (46%) respondents answered "Yes", 56 (54%) - "No"; "Where did you learn about the Faculty of Law of NAU?", 39 (38%) people answered that from friends, 20 (19%) - from parents, 5 (5%) - at school, 63 (61%) - via the Internet , 2 (2%) - other; "Did you have acquaintances or friends at the Faculty of Law?", 30 (29%) students answered "Yes", 73 (71%) - "No". According to freshmen, the most interesting forms of career guidance work are: demonstration and observation of advertising on the Internet, fairs, meetings with representatives of legal professions, questionnaires, individual conversations, student stories, career guidance interviews, presentations, career guidance testing, practical classes, videos from students. open doors, offline and online tours, quests, etc.
Professional counseling activities with student youth in general secondary education institutions lead to a conscious choice of profession.
