On September 28, 2020, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law held an exhibition by video conference on the topic "The profession of a lawyer in modern conditions." The purpose of this event was to acquaint first-year students with the peculiarities of the legal profession in modern conditions.
The event was attended by researchers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Consultant to the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy, National Expert of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine and a graduate of the Faculty of Law Oleksandra Holub, as well as first-year students Faculty of Law.
The event was opened by Ivan Borodin, who stressed the prestige of the legal profession in modern conditions, the responsibility of lawyers. Associate Professor of Theory and History of State and Law Olena Makeyeva focused on the tasks of legal activity, the main types of legal professions and educational literature, placed in the educational laboratory of the educational process, which will help to master the profession of a lawyer.
Oleksandra Holub, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy, National Expert of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine and a graduate of the Faculty of Law, revealed the main stages of her legal career, gave useful advice to first-year students on study, research and extracurricular activities. She stressed that everything depends on the student, his motivation and desire to work.
At the end of the meeting the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department gave methodological recommendations for studying the disciplines of the department. We hope that work and perseverance in mastering the legal profession will help future lawyers to become true professionals in their field.
