On November 22, 2019, Iryna Pokhylenko, associate professor of the Department of Commercial, Air and Space Law of the Faculty of Law, held a lecture-talk for pupils of "Troyeshchyna" high school on the “Anti-bullying” topic.
Iryna Pokhylenko focused her attention on the legal regulation of counteracting to bullying, on the concept and features of billing, the responsibility for bulling pupils.
“According to the HBSC 2018 survey, among children aged 10 to 17 years, 35% of those polled in the past two months there have been abused/ humiliated or bullied, 37.9% have been victims of abuse, and humiliation by other adolescents. The results of the U-Report poll reflect the most common reasons for bullying: ignoring by adults bullying (39%) as well as the character traits of some children (26%)! ”- said Iryna Pokhylenko.
This is a widespread problem in today's Ukrainian society and is most acute in an educational environment where a child spends much time. Particularly, the students' attention was focused on counteracting bulling.
During the event, the students were attentive and actively expressing their opinion and took part in discussig.
