On November 6, 2019, students of the academic group PR-304 of the Faculty of Law, accompanied by a mentor Julia Iurynets, visited Eternal Glory Park. For 70 years in a row, our hometown has been celebrating the day of liberation from the Nazi invaders. On the first day of World War II (June 22), Kiev was subjected to massive bombardment by German aircraft. From September 1941 to November 1943, for 778 days, the capital of Ukraine was occupied by the enemy. The main events in the battle for Kiev unfolded in late September and early October 1943. The command of the Red Army and its party leadership planned to coincide with the liberation of Kiev on the 26th anniversary of the October Revolution - November 7. The order was executed ... The battle of Kiev became a manifestation of mass heroism. For heroism and courage, 17.5 thousand warriors-liberators were awarded orders and medals, 668 of them - the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. November 6, 1943 the destroyed and deserted capital was saved. Such patriotic events is the primary source of the formation and development of national self-awareness of youth, focused on the expression of national interests. |
