March 17, 2021 by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law faculty held a scientific and methodological online seminar on the topic: "Legal comparative studies as a method, as a science, as an academic discipline ".
This event was organized to determine the modern interpretation of the essence, content and the purpose of legal comparative studies, its place and role in the system of legal sciences, and also consideration of problems of theory and methodology of comparative jurisprudence in objective existing national and social context.

Thematic presentations of each of the speakers contributed to a creative discussion and discussion history of the origin, formation and state of legal comparative studies in globalization in today's conditions, the role of national values as fundamental foundations in the system comparative law; the impact of European legal experience on the process legal reform in Ukraine; the importance of comparative legal research in history state and law of Ukraine, international and European law; development problems methodologies of comparative jurisprudence; other issues concerning the place of legal comparative studies in the system of legal and human sciences.
Based on the results of the scientific-methodical seminar, the participants concluded that the growing role of legal comparative studies is palpable in the structure of legal science, and comparative law, in turn, is a basic and system-forming educational discipline for the formation of knowledge of future lawyers about global and specific patterns of origin, development and functioning of the legal systems of the world, which are known through the detection of similarities and differences between them at the micro and macro levels, as well as through ways of knowing the geospatial space through research national legal systems closely related to civilizational, cultural, ideological and other aspects.
