On the 14th of January 14 in 2021, in cooperation of the Faculty of Law with stakeholders and potential employers, Associate Professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law Department Galina Yerko organized an open lecture in the form of “HardTalk” on the topic: “Liquidation of district councils: particularities, problems, prospects” for the 2nd and the 3rd year students.
Continuing the educational project “Enlightenment”, dedicated to the adaptation of theory to practice and bringing students closer to the problems of modern state formation and law enforcement, the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Faculty of Law once again initiates invitations of individuals involved in public policymaking concerning the implementation of legal rules and innovations in legislation.
The guest and speaker of the open lecture was a deputy of Bucha district council, an experienced manager and a politician, a blogger Oleksiy Cherkashyn, who presented the key issues concerning the next stage of local government reform that is the liquidation of district councils to students and researchers.
The result of the event was the selection of the best questions by the speaker and the awarding of the most active students for creative and interesting questions. They were 2nd year students Natalia Kovalyshyna and Victoriya Kohtyiuk.
