On November 14, 2019, within the framework of career guidance, a round table on the topic: “The world of legal professions” was held at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law.
Employees of the Faculty of Law, students of the Aerospace Lyceum of NAU, students of secondary schools in Kyiv and Kyiv region took part in it.
At the beginning of the event, guests were greeted by the dean of the Faculty of Law, Irina Sopilko, who introduced the participants to the structure, directions of the faculty and invited students to study. The Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Ivan Borodin, talked about the importance of legal education in the formation of the rule of law, since it is important for the legal culture of Ukrainian society as a necessary component of social progress. Assistant Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Olena Makeieva has talked about the fields of application of legal professions, because lawyers work in the bodies of legislative, executive and judicial power, prosecutor's office, notary, advocacy and more. The students of the faculty prepared interesting speeches for the pupils: they described their future profession: judges, prosecutors, notaries, lawyers, legal advisers, investigators, etc.
Such career guidance events help students to decide their future profession and choose their career path properly.
