On November 27, 2019, associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law and the Faculty of Law, Yulia Lantsedova, held legal elections for senior pupils of secondary school No. 267 in Kiev, the topic: “Know your rights and know how to protect” and secondary school No. 302 of the Darnitsky district of Kiev on the topic: “Rights minors under the laws of Ukraine”.
The purpose of the meetings is to acquaint schoolchildren with their rights, which are protected by the state and the obligations that are enshrined in the current legislation of Ukraine.
During the lecture, issues of determining the concept of “child”, his legal status, which includes certain rights and obligations, were considered.
“The use and observance of rights and obligations contributes to the comprehensive development of the child as a person, the development of his talents, mental and physical abilities, the upbringing of high moral qualities and national consciousness,” said Yulia Lantsedova.
At the end of the meetings, the students received information booklets from the Faculty of Law of the National Aviation University and were invited to the faculty's Open Day, which will be held on December 12, 2019.
