November 20, 2019, a thematic exhibition was held for the 1st year students in the educational laboratory of the methodological support of the educational process of the Law Faculty on the topic: “The Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. They killed us because we are Ukrainians”/ It was dedicated to the memory of the victims of the terrible tragedy. The thematic exhibition reveals the history of the great tragedy of the Ukrainian people. The Holodomor of 1932-1933 was not an accidental occurrence of natural or social origin, but a consequence of purposefully applied by the totalitarian system terror of hunger. The social foundations of the nation, its traditions, spiritual culture and identity were undermined. Freshmen were presented with the expositions of scientific publications that set out the history of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, analyzed the Soviet socio-economic policy regarding the forced harvesting, dispossession, deportation, the establishment of “black boards”, in-kind fines, and deprivation of housing, as well as the intention of Soviet authorities to hide the consequences of their crime. Familiarization with the materials of the exhibition allowed those present to reflect on the scale of the terrible crime committed by the Soviet state against their own citizens once again. Such words of the Vinnytsia poetess Natalya Pogrebnyak are the setting for Ukrainians: “History rises from darkness, it speaks with the words of facts. And it wants us to judge, because it has a testament from the dead!” |
