What rights does international law guarantee for a child? |

November 20, 2019, associate professor of the Department of Civil Law and Process of the Faculty of Law, Valeria Filinovych, together with a student of the PR-306 group, Gleb Grabovsky, carried out career guidance work with students of secondary schools No. 50 and 55 in Kyiv. A lecture with students of secondary school No. 50 in Kyiv was held on the topic: “What rights are guaranteed by international law to a child?” During the lesson, the rights and freedoms of the child which are guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child were determined, as well as the role of legal culture in the life of young people. A legal conversation was held with students of secondary school No. 55 in Kyiv on the topic: “The rights of the child in the modern world”, during which schoolchildren learned about their rights and obligations, about sources of law that would help protect their interests. At the end of the events, Valeria Filinovych focused on the features and benefits of studying at the Law Faculty of NAU. Such events for career guidance work form the legal culture of youth and help pupils in choosing their future profession. |
