On November 5, 2019, the director of the Anti-Plagiarism company Andrey Sidlyarenko conducted a training for students of the Law Faculty of NAU “Academic Integrity in the Educational Process: Legal Measuring”. The event was organized by the University’s analytics and information management department in conjunction with the Anti-Plagiarism company, which is the developer of the well-known software product for checking text works for signs of Unicheck plagiarism. The speaker explained why academic good faith is being introduced in higher education institutions, and also spoke about how technical anti-plagiarism systems work today, how such tools can be used for self-monitoring. Andrei Sidlyarenko provided recommendations on how to write scientific and educational works. When discussing the concept of "self-plagiarism" from a legal point of view and the licensing procedure for anti-plagiarism-testing services, a professional discussion arose at the training, which showed the level of students' interest. |
