On February 5, 2019 students of an academic group PR-303 of Faculty of Law together with the mentor Irina Tolkachova visited the Art Centre “Chocolate House”.
During the excursion, students were able to see round the former mansion of the famous merchant and patron Semen Semenovych Mogylivtsev. The unique architectural and artistic value, which has no analogues in Kyiv, is represented by the interiors of the mansion. Its décor contains motives of almost all historical styles, which gave the names of each room: Moorish, Renaissance, Modern (Secessio), Rococo, Byzantine, French.
The chocolate house is an incredibly beautiful painting of walls and ceilings, decorated with rich modelling and gilding, wooden carved panels, window sills, doors and windows, floors with different pictures of artistic parquet, colored stained-glass windows and forged fences of marble stairs.
Students, having visited this house, got acquainted with architectural styles and got unforgettable impressions.
