On November 29, 2018, a lecture-dispute on the theme "Europe after the First World War" was held at Educational and Research Institute of Law in honor of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Participation in this event was taken by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law and students of the 1st course of the Educational and Research Institute of Law.
During the lecture, a number of issues were reviewed regarding the political and socio-economic consequences of the First World War, the post-war European order, the development of international economic cooperation and the establishment of safeguards for the security of the post-war world. Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the problems of the restoration of the statehood of the Ukrainian nation, its position in the conditions of internal and external political changes in the post-war period, as well as the causes of the first wave of Ukrainian emigration.
To sum up, all participants noted the importance of a revival of memory of the First World War, as well as many other critical events of their own history, lessons of which must surely become a warning for all generations and ages.
