On October 11, 2018 in the framework of the VIII world Congress «Aviation in the XXI century» - «Aviation Security and Space Technologies», dedicated to the 80-th anniversary of NAU in the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law held a meeting of the 15th Symposium «Air and Space Law: international and national security problems». .The work of the 15th Symposium «Air and space law: international and national security issues» once again confirmed that issues related to the legislative support of the aviation and space industry are becoming more and more relevant every year. The importance of solving the problems of legal regulation of civil aviation security was emphasized at the opening of the meeting by the moderators of the Symposium: director of the Institute, doctor of law Irina Sopilko and associate professor of theory and history of state and law Victoria Cherevatyuk. The Symposium focused on discussion issues, in particular, Oksana Mironets defined the relationship between the concepts of aviation security and aviation security; Natalia Semchuk stressed the importance of criminal law protection of civil aviation security under the legislation of Ukraine; Svitlana Golovko placed emphasis on the problem of the implementation of ICAO standards as a condition of the development of modern regulatory support of the domestic aviation industry; Natalia Khotsyanovskaya noted the need to address the problem of the right to compensation in case of flight delays. All speakers were unanimous in the fact that it belongs to lawyers to design the legal path of civil aviation security. The scientific meeting resulted in recommendations for further development of research in the field of air and space law.
