The second-year students of the Bachelor of Education degree at the Educational and Scientific Law Institute on March 23, 2018 had been met with, Ph.D., associate professor, lawyer, director of the BONUM law company Alexandra Yanchuk.
During the lecture on "Advocate in the judicial process," a well-known lawyer spoke about the organization of work and the procedural status of a lawyer, as an important participant in the legal proceedings for which the law entrusts functions not only to provide legal assistance, but also to protect the rights and interests of defendants. Alexandra Yanchuk noted that when she fails to convince the judge of her rightness, she at least tries to doubt his opponent's rightness. After all, she takes full responsibility for the client, because she is convinced that if the client has not told something, the lawyer is guilty. "In modern conditions it is rather difficult to work, because there is not enough faith in the lawyer, there is a constant reform of the judiciary, there are collisions in the legislation. Every time I go to court, I check whether there are any changes in the law, "said Yanchuk. This meeting provided an opportunity for students to get practical knowledge on the participation of a lawyer in a lawsuit.
