On November 6th, 2017, the students of the group PR-403 of Educational and Research Institute of Law with their tutor Lyudmila Shapenko made an excursion to the monument of Mykhaylo Hrushevsky, a famous Ukrainian historian, politician and public figure.
This event was organized in order to honor the figure of Mykhaylo Hrushevsky, who made a significant contribution to Ukrainian science and statehood, preservation of the national identity of our people. He is considered to be a world-class scientist whose creative heritage numbers about two thousand works on history, historiography, sociology, literature, ethnography, archeology and folklore. His ideas were full of democratic views on the revival and development of the Ukrainian state and society. During the excursion students recollected their knowledge about the life and work of the leading ideologist and leader of democratic reforms of the early 20 century, which were based on the principles of morality, legality and the continuity of the Ukrainian historical process. All this allows us to say unequivocally that Mykhaylo Hrushevsky is a national and political symbol of the Ukrainian people, and his traditions find their continuation in our times.
