On October 23, 2017, students of the group PR-404 of Educational and Research Institute of Law together with a tutor Oksana Myronets visited the monument to Dante Alighieri.
During the excursion, the senior students learned that the monument to the great Italian poet, philosopher, theologian and politician Dante appeared in the capital of Ukraine in 2015. The sculpture is made of white marble and the eagle as a symbol of greatness and spiritual uplift is placed at the feet of the poet. The author of the monument is an Italian sculptor Luciano Massari, and the architect is a Ukrainian Leonid Malyi. Oksana Myronets told the students that the monument was opened in the framework of the project “Kyiv is the city of the world” which provides the creation of foreign cultural symbols the Ukrainian capital. The monument to Dante Alighieri in Kiev is a testimony to the respect for the culture of Italy from the side of the Ukrainian people.
