In December 2016 students of the study group 201 accompanied by mentor Elena Makeeva visited St. Vladimir Patriarchal Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kiev Patriarchate.
The purpose of this event is the study of the spiritual culture of the Ukrainian nation, its traditions and attractions, the formation of the spiritual values of a young person. St. Vladimir Patriarchal Cathedral is not only one of the greatest temples in the world, built in the 19th century, but also a monument to the outstanding Christian fellow campaigner, St. Vladimir the Great. During the tour, the students acquainted with the internal and external views of the church, made in the Byzantine style. Future lawyers were amazed with the beauty inside the cathedral, whose walls are skilfully painted by such outstanding artists as Mikhail Vrubel, Victor Vasnetsov and others. They were especially fascinated by the magical image of Our Lady, made in gilded penumbra, on light-blue clouds, gently illuminated by the star and smokey gray marble iconostasis adorning the amazing interior of the temple. These activities form in future lawyers cognitive interest to the historical past and bring the system of spiritual Christian values up.
