On December 8th, 2016 Associate Professor of department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of Educational and Research Institute of Law Igor Rozum held a lecture-debate on theme "Professional orientation and professional self-determination of youth in conditions of globalization of world economy " for students of eleventh grade of Secondary General Education School №223 from Kyiv.
During the event an attention of future university entrants were focused on the fact that professional self-identity can be determine as a complex socio-psychological phenomenon that is associated with solving the problem of successful career choice and further professional self-development. Analysis of current socio-economic changes in society gives us grounds to argue about the necessity for changes to the system of professional goals and motives in the way of choosing a certain kind of profession. The problem of professional self-determination depends on three main subjective factors: interest (dispositions), abilities (psychological mechanisms necessary for success in a certain kind of), character. During summing up the main focus was made on the fact that main prerequisites for a successful professional self-determination are: analysis of current market needs; get acquainted with the peculiarities of the modern world of professions; establishing vocational educational opportunities of the individual. In the context of discussions, students also were able to learn about the social and moral features of the legal profession.
