In order to mark the International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2014 Olga Lopushanskaya - Associate Professor of Civil Law and Process Department Law Institute held a lecture on "The rights of the child in the family" for students 11 classes specialized school number 185 named Vladimir Vernadsky.
During the lecture Olga Lopushanskaya told children about the importance and value of every child rights, freedoms and guarantees protection mechanisms, as recently observed in a state of serious manifestation of misunderstanding in the community concept and principles of the rights of the child, resulting in numerous violations, the use of corporal punishment violence and failure mechanisms of protection, including juvenile justice and so on. The main violations of children's rights are: the neglect of the child's thoughts; neglecting the interests of the child in conflict between the parents or legal obligations regarding non-compliance of the Child (nonsupport, child, etc.); violence against children (both in the family and outside it); violations of children's rights to health and education. The topic chosen for discussion with students is very relevant because improving laws changing for the better protection of children's rights in practice, we should not forget about outreach as society shows too tolerance to violation of child rights. We must teach people to show tolerance to such violations that promote the rights of children in Ukraine and prevent violations of these rights.
