4th of December , 2014 PhD, Associate Professor of Criminal Law and Process Law Institute Julia Lantsedova together with senior lecturer Anna Rybikova held for students of 11th grade high school number 261 in Kyiv legal lecture on the topic "Legal literacy in terms of personality formation ".
During the meeting the students, it was explained that according to Art. 68 of the Constitution, everyone is obliged to consistently observe the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, does not infringe on the rights and freedoms, honor and dignity of other people, and ignorance of the law does not exempt from legal liability. And for a person to respect the law and the legal status (rights, freedoms, responsibilities, interests) other subjects of social, it must not only know and understand it, to fulfill legal requirements, but also have the appropriate personal beliefs about the need for this law, that is, possess legal culture. So, regardless of gender and age, social status, every ordinary citizen should have the legal literacy, which may help avoid unnecessary criticism on the government, the state, society, employers, etc., as well as be able to protect themselves against violation of personal rights, freedoms and interests. After the meeting, the students received answers to questions about the nature of justice, prospects of development of Ukraine as a state of law and the importance of legal work in a safe securing the legal status of individuals and legal entities, as well as a booklet with information about the Law Institute of the National Aviation University, the conditions of entry and training in this institute.
